How Paman works

The service user has full control of the medihub just like any normal phone.

When the medihub rings they will be guided through the medication they need to take by a friendly, pharmacy-trained operator, the same operator at the same time each day so we get to know each other.

Our Interactive MAR

Our monitoring centre observes the patient taking their medication. We check that the dispensed medication is taken correctly using a specially developed interactive medication administration record (MAR) chart which lists all medication prescribed to the patient and is provided to us by the patient’s pharmacy. This acts as a comprehensive guide for the observing pharmacists or pharmacy technician, thus ensuring that the medication being taken by the patient is correct and is taken in the correct dosage at the designated time.

The prescription is checked

Your up-to-date prescription is sent from your pharmacy and compared automatically to any previous prescription to ensure everything is correct.

We prepare the MAR

We prepare a MAR (Medication Administration Record) which orders the prescription medications into the time slot it needs to be taken so we know what medication is to be taken at what time and in what dose.

We record the medication to take

When we call the service user we know exactly what medication and dose needs to be taken. We observe what is taken, prompt if any medication is missing, and record all medication taken (or not).
